1940 – 1956: First Generation – Vacuum Tubes

2010- : Fifth Generation – Artificial Intelligence
Computer with AI are still in progress stage, and even some of the innovations are starting to surface and even are being used for speech recognition. Their importance is that they will lead to the creation of devices that understands natural language.
